Much like a clogged toilet, having a clogged drain
is one of the most irritating things that can happen in one’s home. Aside from
the ensuing eyesore and unsavory odors, a clogged kitchen or bathroom drain can
disrupt household activities due to the risk of water overflowing.
While a drain is still in the early stages of being
clogged, it would be wise to act quickly and undertake some short-term
remediation before things get completely out of hand. For instance, one can use
chemical drain-cleaning products designed to flush out impurities that cause
clogs in kitchen and bathroom sinks. As for bath tubs, hair is the usual
culprit. One would have to unscrew the sieve and check for hair. If there is indeed
some hair stuck in the sieve, one can use a wire hanger or any hook-like
appendage to weed out the clog and let water flow freely.
In cases where these methods still do not work, it
would be best to call in the professionals. Plumbing experts will leave no
stone unturned until they are able to determine the exact reason for any clog. Likewise,
professional plumbers have the corresponding tools and solutions for every
bathroom or kitchen sink clog imaginable.
